Leadership has been and continues to be the cause and effect of greatness and success as well as insignificance and failure. Since recorded history, ideas of leadership have been found in every culture around the world. They are embedded in the history, mythology, legends, sagas, religions of past civilizations which inform contemporary society and culture.

The cornerstone of all LEEP programs is a model of leadership that transcends the prevailing two-dimensional approaches such as autocratic versus democratic leadership, task versus people-oriented leadership or transactional versus transformational leadership and goes to the heart of fundamental human values.  LEEP builds on leaders’ cognitive and emotional abilities, the desire to exercise ethical leadership

driven by a high moral compass and accounts for leadership failures we encounter in individuals and organizations. The LEEP model identifies leadership processes and leaders, past and present, exemplifying cognitive, emotional and ethical competencies and develops these competencies in participants in unique historical, cultural, political and economic contexts.

This unique program is designed to develop leadership insights via on-site study of historical and contemporary civilizations and their leaders. It is one of a kind approach to leadership development, offered only a few times a year, which challenges participants to explore leadership issues faced by ancient heroes and heroines and apply them to contemporary issues with which today's leaders are faced. The focus of LEEP journeys is not to learn about leadership from books, theories or gurus, but from reflection, contemplation, meditation and interactions and feedback from fellow travelers.  LEEP experiences are designed to enhance the intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual capital of leaders participating in the program.

Locations for the LEEP programs vary ranging from the northern rain forests of Guatemala to the Greek islands, from the temples of Luxor to the waterways of Central Europe. Each location stimulates its own set of insights based on the unique history, mythology, art, culture and contemporary socio-political conditions and leadership challenges confronting the countries visited.
